The Illinois State Medical Society is a professional organization that represents and unifies its physician members as they practice the science and art of medicine. The Society represents the interests of member physicians, advocates for patients and promotes the doctor/patient relationship, the ethical practice of medicine, and the betterment of the public health.

ISMIE Mutual Insurance Company, the state's largest insurer of physicians for medical liability, was founded in 1976. ISMIE Mutual is owned and operated by physicians and insures 14,000 policyholders across the state.

Orthopaedic Center of Illinois
The Orthopaedic Center of Illinois was founded on the concept that an orthopedic institute should be centrally located in Illinois.
