Lunchtime Webinars Offer Best Practices to Chew On
As a busy practice manager, why not let essential practice tips and education come right to you? The popular Lunchtime Rx webinar series continues in 2012, with hot topics presented monthly in one-hour sessions at noon on Thursdays. All you need is a computer, an Internet connection and a telephone.
The next webinar, After Hours On-Call Processes: Best Practices in Risk Management, will take place Thursday, March 15 from noon to 1. Learn how to mitigate risk associated with after-hours telephone calls and how you can improve your after-hours processes.
Geared for both physicians and practice managers, each webinar includes a presentation, followed by a question and answer period. There is no charge for ISMS members and their staffs; the cost for non-member offices is $100.
This half-day workshop will benefit physicians and their staff, nurse case managers, risk managers and other stakeholders involved in treating injured workers. A key reference for the event is the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment (6th Edition), which will be available to conference attendees for purchase.
ISMS designates these live activities for a maximum of 3.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM. Physicians should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
ISMS is accredited by ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Save April 26 for the 20th Work Injury Conference. This full-day program will cover legislation affecting work injuries, include panel discussions, address prevention and strategy, and discuss solutions including utilization review, the AMA guidelines and more. Watch upcoming ISMS publications and www.isms.org for more information.
